He has more than 20 years of experience in advising all types of companies in the field of indirect taxation.
He is director of the firm Spanish VAT Services Asesores, the main provider of advisory services in the field of VAT in the Spanish market.

Fernando Matesanz is a member of the Board of the International VAT Association and is a member of the EU VAT Forum, one of the VAT groups that advises the European Commission and other EU institutions. He is also a member of the Group of Experts on Indirect Taxation of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors.
He has been appointed Indirect Tax Leader in Spain since 2015 by International Tax Review. He has also been recognised as a leading lawyer in Spain in the field of VAT by Chambers and Partners since 2017.
